Rivertown Academy has been providing swim lessons and safety training throughout Westchester for over 20 years. Our highly trained staff provides guidance for all levels of swimmers from infant to aspiring pro, working closely with parents and children to ensure they receive the very best instruction possible. All instructors are lifeguard, CPR and first aid certified, and required to participate in a rigorous 40+ hour training program. Our curriculum, teacher training, and evaluation system are all designed to provide a total aquatic education and accommodates students of any age, ability, level of comfort or experience in the water.

Frequently Asked Quections
Registration is completed on the page of the location where you would like your swimmer to take lessons. Simply select your preferred location and complete the online registration form.
If you are unsure of your child’s level, we will evaluate them on the first day of class and make any necessary adjustments. You are also welcome to contact us in advance if you would like to discuss placement before registering.
Rivertown Academy operates throughout the year; however, during July and August, our program transitions to local summer pool locations. Our regular indoor facilities are closed for the summer months.
Photos and videos may occasionally be taken during Swim Academy programs for promotional use, including our website and social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. Parents may opt out of photo and video use at any time by contacting jen@rivertownaquatics.com.
For the safety of all participants, families taking personal photos or videos are asked to remain at least four feet back from the pool edge. This ensures that emergency personnel and staff can move freely on deck if needed.
If you are running late, there is no need to notify us.
Rivertown Academy does not offer make up lessons, credits, or refunds for classes missed due to illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, weather concerns when classes are held, or other personal reasons. Swimmers are registered for a specific day and time, and consistent attendance is essential to maintaining class structure, safety, and instructional quality.
If Rivertown Academy cancels a class due to pool closure or facility related issues, a designated make up option or account credit will be provided at Rivertown Academy’s discretion.
Swimmers are registered for a specific day and time so that classes remain consistent and structured for everyone. If you need to request a permanent schedule change, please email jen@rivertownaquatics.com. We will review availability and let you know what options may be possible.
We are happy to work with parents to try and keep swimmers with their favorite swim instructor, however, this is subject to an instructor’s current schedule and availability.
A private lesson is a strictly one-on-one swim lesson with the swimmer and swim instructor. A semi-private lesson consists of an instructor with two swimmers of similar age and skill level. Please note: It is up to the parents to find an additional swimmer to be paired up in a semi-private lesson.
Proper swim attire is required at all times. Swimmers must wear appropriate swimwear designed for pool use. No street clothes or non swim garments are permitted in the water.
Swim caps or hair bands are required for swimmers whose hair is longer than ear length. Please remove all bandages before entering the pool and dispose of them properly. Swimmers should have trimmed fingernails and toenails for safety.
Rivertown Academy only accepts swimmers who are fully toilet trained.
We accept all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. Tuition may also be paid by check; however, payment by check must be received at least 15 days prior to the first class.
