Frequently Asked Quections

Registration is completed on the page of the location where you would like your swimmer to take lessons. Simply select your preferred location and complete the online registration form.
If you are unsure of your child’s level, we will evaluate them on the first day of class and make any necessary adjustments. You are also welcome to contact us in advance if you would like to discuss placement before registering.

Rivertown Academy operates throughout the year; however, during July and August, our program transitions to local summer pool locations. Our regular indoor facilities are closed for the summer months.

Photos and videos may occasionally be taken during Swim Academy programs for promotional use, including our website and social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. Parents may opt out of photo and video use at any time by contacting jen@rivertownaquatics.com.

For the safety of all participants, families taking personal photos or videos are asked to remain at least four feet back from the pool edge. This ensures that emergency personnel and staff can move freely on deck if needed.

Please note that all pool locations maintain security cameras within the facility for safety and security monitoring purposes.
If your swimmer will be absent due to illness, we appreciate a quick email to let us know. This helps us with planning and attendance.

If you are running late, there is no need to notify us.

Please arrive safely and we will integrate your swimmer into the lesson when they arrive.

Rivertown Academy does not offer make up lessons, credits, or refunds for classes missed due to illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, weather concerns when classes are held, or other personal reasons. Swimmers are registered for a specific day and time, and consistent attendance is essential to maintaining class structure, safety, and instructional quality.

Missed classes may not be transferred to another swimmer, another session, or a future program.

If Rivertown Academy cancels a class due to pool closure or facility related issues, a designated make up option or account credit will be provided at Rivertown Academy’s discretion.

Swimmers are registered for a specific day and time so that classes remain consistent and structured for everyone. If you need to request a permanent schedule change, please email jen@rivertownaquatics.com. We will review availability and let you know what options may be possible.

We encourage families to choose a day and time that works well for the full session, as schedule changes are limited and subject to availability.

We are happy to work with parents to try and keep swimmers with their favorite swim instructor, however, this is subject to an instructor’s current schedule and availability.

A private lesson is a strictly one-on-one swim lesson with the swimmer and swim instructor. A semi-private lesson consists of an instructor with two swimmers of similar age and skill level. Please note: It is up to the parents to find an additional swimmer to be paired up in a semi-private lesson.

Proper swim attire is required at all times. Swimmers must wear appropriate swimwear designed for pool use. No street clothes or non swim garments are permitted in the water.

Swim caps or hair bands are required for swimmers whose hair is longer than ear length. Please remove all bandages before entering the pool and dispose of them properly. Swimmers should have trimmed fingernails and toenails for safety.

We also recommend taking preventative measures to care for your child’s ears after swimming to help reduce the risk of ear infections.

Rivertown Academy only accepts swimmers who are fully toilet trained.

We accept all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. Tuition may also be paid by check; however, payment by check must be received at least 15 days prior to the first class.

Classes are not reserved until payment has been received in full.
Refund amounts are determined based on the session start date.
Before the first class: 100 percent refund less a $25 dollar processing fee.
Within the first week after the session begins: 50 percent refund less a $25 processing fee.
During the second week after the session begins: 25 percent refund less a $25 processing fee.
After the second week: No refunds will be issued.
